We got to see some of the prelims & practice at the Indiana State Fair during our visit.
Those dogs make a splash!
My aunt over at Dogs & Country has taken her puppy dogs to some and I watched her at our local county fair, but when we saw this at the state fair, Bubby was fascinated!
The object is to get the biggest air and distance for the dogs....
Then they "doggy paddle" their way out of the water...usually after retrieving the toy they jumped in after.
The competition is open to all breeds...from retrievers to Rotts...
To this cutie who had the HUGEST bark...and was part bulldog, part Catahoula. Isn't he adorable?
See his Frisbee way up there that the little dude is going after? Bubby just loved the Dock Dogs so much, he almost cried when it was over. But then he put on his pig nose and went on his merry way again! (It's the year of the pig at the Indiana State Fair in case you missed it earlier!)
Disclosure: The Indiana Soybean Alliance provided a family 4-pack of tickets to give away on my blog as well as tickets for my family to attend the state fair. Our meals were provided by Indiana Dairy and Indiana Pork producers. And they were delicious.

I didn't know they had this event at the fair. I'm going to have to make a better effort to get know my state fair next year!
