Rodeo Road: This IS my 1st rodeo
Last week Baby Boy competed in his 1st rodeo. In the goat tail tying. He was not a happy camper when he figured out I had failed to enter him in the bull riding. He insists he will ride bulls next time. Not if this momma has anything to say about it. But here he is, my littlest pride and joy, all cowboy-ed up.
Yep. There was more than a little confusion about whether he was supposed to pull the stake out of the ground or pull the ribbon from the goat's tail. But it's all good when he smiles that smile. My heart melts.
That is too cute. Sometimes it is hard to be the parent isn't it? We get so caught up in how something "should be" while the kids just enjoy the moment. Our girls are not riding bulls, but I am trying to be a better soccer mom and keep it all positive. (which I usually do unless I forget that it's hard for a 6 year old to stay back and play defense when everyone else is running for the ball!) ACK!
