We started out with a milk carton. Then we slathered it with icing (which I do not recommend eating 'cause it seems pretty nasty to me). We added more icing to our graham cracker squares and used them for the siding and roof of our house. The eaves we filled with Froot Loops. Chex Mix for the windows and a sugar wafer for a door makes for a pretty sweet house.
- Pretzel sticks at the seams to improve insulation
- Pretzel twists & Skittles on the roof for a little texture and color
- Pretzel twists for a porch rails coming out of the front door
- A licorice & miniature marshmallow sidewalk
- A lovely marshmallow pine tree
- Some marshmallow shrubbery around the entrance
- A gumdrop chimney
- And of course, 2 little gingerbread boys
Now Bubby's teacher says she still has her daughter's gingerbread house that she made with this project....7 years ago. But I'm pretty sure I'm not up to keeping this one that long!
sounds like a great day!!! AWESOME gingerbread house.
