Speaking of pictures, one of my favorite things at Disney World is character meals! I love that the kids get to meet and interact with some of their favorite Disney characters without waiting in line! Plus, you get to sit down, rest your feet and enjoy some good food!
We've tried a lot of the Disney World character dining experiences, but this was our first go at Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House restaurant in Animal Kingdom. We were greeted at the door by Donald himself in his full safari regalia for a family picture...which you then have to purchase. I can't share that one with you because our Photo Pass CDs have not arrived yet and I had the digital copy put there for us...but Mickey came around for a visit, too/
Then came Daisy. I want eyelashes like that. The characters all come direct to your table as you dine from their extensive breakfast buffet. There were African/safari-themed dishes, but plenty of good old American food, too...with a special section of the buffet designed with kid-friendly foods.
While Daisy was visiting with us, the music started and it was time for a musical parade for the kids! Our server passed out instruments to all the kidders and they joined Daisy in a conga dance line all around the restaurant!
The kidders loved partying with Daisy....
...and the Old Man thought this was a perfect opportunity to refill his plate from the buffet without the "help" of the kidders...
Goofy came by to visit, too..and we got lots of individual attention because we had the last breakfast time slot of the day. This is the only character meal served in Animal Kingdom, and it's only available at breakfast, so it's sometimes hard to get into. But we liked having the last time slot, because it made it more of a brunch/lunch for us and was a good break after an early and busy morning in the park.
Then it was off to the Killamanjaro Safari...which I'll tell you all about next week! Until then!
Hi Jane, those are beautiful pictures! thanks for sharing them with us here...
