My life as the Frugalista's padawan: week of July 19

So have you checkout out my friend the Frugalista over at Frugalista Farm Life? She and her big sis Gal in the Middle got me hooked on pumping up my coupon savings...and especially drug store shopping. Earlier this spring I dubbed myself the Frugalista's padawan learner (that's an apprentice in Star Wars language).So here's what I got this week:

Rite Aid:

Pull Ups: $8.99 - $2 coupon - $2 +Up reward off next purchase = $4.99
2 Chex mix (turtle and CHOCOLATE flavored!) = $2.99 + buy one, get one free - 2 55¢ coupons = 97¢ each
4 TGIFriday chips = $2.19 + buy one, get one free - 2 $1 off 2 coupons = 59¢ each
2 pack of Frosted Flakes = $4.99 - $1 coupon = $3.99 (not the greatest deal, but it got me to a $25 purchase so I could use my $5 off a $25 purchase coupon)
Total: $9.50 + used $1  +Up coupon off purchase + earned $2 +Up coupon

CVS:

2 Cokes, 2 Coke Zero, 1 Diet Coke (not pictured) 12 packs: $13 (I'm still depressed Wal Mart doesn't have their $5 24-packs anymore. Sigh.)

6 Honey Nut Cheerios cups: $1 each - 3 $1 off 2 coupons = 50¢ each

3 Cheerios cups: $1 - 3 55¢ coupons = 45¢ each

1 Cinamon Toast Crunch cup: $1 - 55¢ coupon - 45¢

Pull Ups: $8.99 - $2 coupon - $3 Extra Care Bucks = $3.99

2 6-packs of Papermate pens: 77¢ for 2

3 pack Act microwave popcorn: $1.25 - 45¢ coupon = 80¢

Garnier Gravity Defying Cream: $16.99 - $2 off a $10 skincare coupon - $5 Extra Care Bucks (from raincheck) = $9.99

Celsius Green Tea: $7.99 - $7.99 Extra Care Bucks = FREE

2 Right Guard deodorant: 2/$5 - $3 coupon off 2 - $1 each

2 Pretzel M&Ms: 2/$1 - $1 Extra Care Bucks = FREE

Expo Marker 4-pack: $1.99 (on kids' school supply lists)

2 Dominoes sugar: $2.99 - 75¢ coupon off 2 = $2.61 each

2 Tresseme Fresh Start styling products: 2/$7 - 2 $1 coupons = $2.50 ea (again, not the greatest bargain...but I'm hoping they will be good for my mom since she can't shower as often as she'd like after her cancer surgery)

RenPure Organic shampoo & conditioner (not pictured): $6.99 ea + buy one, get one free + hanging "try me free" tag on product to refund purchase price = FREE

Total: $77.62 - $11.48 in Extra Care Bucks = $66.14 + earned $16.99 in Extra Care Bucks for next purchase + $6.99 mail in rebate on RenPure shampoo
