If you've been here before you probably know my family loves rodeo. My kids are 3rd generation rodeo competitors and my parents started their own rodeo stock contracting company. They were founding members of the Ohio High School Rodeo Association and hosted the association's state finals on our farm for many years.
So what does this have to do with Disney World? A young trick roper from Ohio got his start at our family's rodeos. If you've been to Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Ft. Wilderness Campground, you've seen him in action: Trick Ropin' Trevor. He's been roping for Disney World full time for 10 years.
So as we gear up to leave for our upcoming trip to the happiest place on earth, I just had to share our "family connection to the House of Mouse. 'Cause cowboys don't just come from way out west. They come from all over this great country. So here's a look at Trick Ropin' Trevor in action:
I love this! Just goes to show how the skills on the farm (or at the rodeo) can serve you well throughout your life. Too cool. Thanks for sharing!
