Not so long ago in a galaxy just outside my door...

My kids are slightly obsessed with Star Wars.

But it doesn't just stop with the costumes....

We stalk the characters to the Children's Museum...

We enroll in the Jedi Training Academy...

We give Star Wars gifts for Father's Day...

We even use the force at school...

The obsession has even made it's way to the pasture and barn and taken over the livestock, too. We've now officially finished lambing for the year, and the Star Wars naming sage continues...

Two years ago, Bubby named his ewe lamb Princess Leia.

Our Princess Leia looks nothing like this...

And a few years ago, we added a new ram to our flock....

Do you know Captain Rex?

Captain Rex and his fellow clone troppers from the 501
Well, this year Leia was busy cheating on Han Solo with Captain Rex. And their babies are our final lambs of the year: twin boys. The first was a whopper - born as big as the 3-4 week old lambs already on the ground. I was convinced he was a single...until his much smaller brother showed up about 30 minutes later. Here they are:

Our last lambs of the year!

Meet Jacen (the bigger of the brothers)...

The biggest of our last babies Bubby named Jacen

Jacen was born just as I pulled in the driveway—I could see Leia laying down and she got up as I pulled in the drive. A closer look revealed a still very slimy Jacen just starting to emerge from his umbilical sack...

And the smaller brother General Krell...
The littlest of the twins: Krell
Jedi General Krell turned traitor during the Clone Wars—not a nice guy!

Call me biased, but I think our Jacen and Krell are cuter...
